Since July 1993 all HERMANN-Coburg Teddy Bears
are signed with the HERMANN-Coburg Neckmark, a small golden coloured metal
mark in form of the historical old Max Hermann triangle with the coined picture
of the old traditional Max HERMANN and HERMANN-Coburg sign "The Bear with
the Running Dog" and the coined name "HERMANN".
The neck as a place to sign figurines is a very traditional place. In the same like the old Sonneberg dolls were signed on their neck, HERMANN-Coburg signs its Teddy Bears with their mark also an the neck.
More information about the HERMANN-Coburg
Neckmark
The work to rivet the neck mark with the head
of the Bear must be done before the cut parts of the head are sewn. So still
before the cut neck part comes to the Sewing Room, it has to stop in the
Needlework Room, where it gets its neck mark. From that moment on, still
at the very beginning of the manufacture, the Teddy Bears is already signed
as a HERMANN-Coburg Teddy Bear for the future and for all times.
